I've looked at various mints producing Poppy coins. Wonder what everyone's opinion is on the various different ones available such as the Jersey one, Westminster Coins one etc.

Personally I think the Royal Mint did themselves proud. I like the fact that the poppy isn't a solid red colour but bleeds - as did those in WWI. Symbolic.

I agree with you - that Royal Mint one is very good - the designer should be very proud of that work.

I got an email a little while ago from the Royal Canadian Mint as they released their 100 year anniversary of the Armistace not long ago. They have some nice pieces but the one that I think is most symbolic is this very beat up looking helmet shaped "coin". It just says so much...
