My name is Paul Atkinson and I began working in the Retail jewellery business in 1980 when I left school. I started on a Saturday as a student and went on to manage the shop by the time I was 19 when the employer offered me a full time job instead of going back to University. At that time, as some of you may remember, many of my peers were completing their degrees and coming out to the world of work with no jobs available.

Our History
We have a rich and colourful history spanning more than 25 years in the precious metal industry. We began working in the retail jewellery business in the 1980s and by the end of the decade we had built up our own store and continued to expand. We moved from our humble beginnings in the jewellery market to the excitement of the gold rush, which introduced us to the gold and silver coins and bullion business.

By 2010 we had launched our first Bullion & Coins website with a static price and a phone number to call to place an order. This worked well for a while but we soon found that demand was too high, that’s when we decided to invest in an all singing and all dancing transactional website, to really give our customers a great experience.

We launched our first live pricing ecommerce site in 2013 and have continued to develop, improve and build on our quality of service since, creating a safe and secure environment to buy quality bullion and coins at the best price.

Experience & Pedigree
During these last 25 years we have seen most things come and go. We have learnt a great deal about the jewellery, coin and bullion business having traded daily in these precious items. The single best way to find out about this business has been learning on the job. Experience is everything.
