No, picked it up at the coin fair today. Just looked under the microscope because the markings were too small to see even with a magnifying glass - it's 999.9 and has the Argor-Heraeus hallmark. I would call it a piedfort - it's definitely the thickest and smallest diameter coin I have

Thanks Danny. Didn't know the mintage. Was just sitting in a bucket with maples and generics etc. Toning is around the edges - I'm considering aluminium soda salt and water. Topped up my e-juice supplies too....

Ye, I like it a lot. I'm surprised at the quality of the finish - top notch. They are in unusual capsules that have like a concave top and bottom (so they rock on a flat surface) is that normal?

@ Danny - the ATM has a 7% flat fee. I'm not sure how that compares but I find it convenient and i'm pretty sure I'll get that 7% back at some point
@ Cointreau - I'm happy to PM you the dealers particulars but i think its an only in-person kind of situation. if you live in London it's a good place to know - he told me today that they never keep anything for very long at all and it's pot luck as to what they have

No the case is used and I think a bit old. I need to replace some of the felt. There are absolutely no marking on the outside but on the inside of the casing it says: " MICHAEL PFEIFFER NUMISMATIC munches w-Germany". So the fact that it's 'west' Germany makes it at least from the 80s. I really like it too. Not secure in any sense against a thief with a screwdriver who could just pry it open but you can't nonchalantly open it if you were just snooping around a friends house.
