If anyone can help me with information about this set?

Were a set of four; orange, bronze, red and blue if memory serves.

These were produced by the Perth Mint and were limited to sets of 3000

Via the USA they were offered by Talisman Coins and had a special display case with an outer sleeve. Think other markets sold these individually

  2. The most current numbers for the America the Beautiful  5oz coin program for both the bullion and collector's edition as well as the release order for the remaining coins.

Numbers in Red denote release is still listed as available and thus subject to additional sales. Will update as the remaining coins are released

If you require a copy of the table in excel format PM me with your email address and I will send over

The plain old silver version of the Humble Administrator's Garden from the Chinese Classical Garden Series

Via Google translate I came across a thread that I think states that it is planned that this will be the last medal design in the series - Are you aware if this is the case?

    thanks

  4.  I'll clarify the story here, there is only 1000 12 coin 2oz sets available ever. You buy the set, currently there are 8 coins in the set.Close to the next 2oz coin to be issued you will receive an email from your Perth mint retailer. In my case it is Silber corner, they give you the choice to buy the next coin or not you are not compelled to buy it.

Re the 3 coin sets 2oz,1oz, 1/2oz there is up to 1000 of each sets to be minted, although the declared mintage of the mouse 3 coin set is 366 so there can only ever be a maximum of 1366 2oz mice.

Re the total of the 2oz coins there can only ever be a maximum of 2000.i'm not going to go through the Perth mint archive but the 2oz  Ox 3 coin sets are also below the 1000 threshold at 340 sets.

So these are pretty rare and IMHO undervalued at the moment especially compared to the Lunar S2 1oz proofs.

    Thank you for the clarification.

  5. Perth Mint 2oz Lunar series 2 proof set, comes with the first 8 coins that have been released so far, but space for all 12 in the box.

The 2oz' lunar II proof have a fairly low mintage, so well worth the price I paid in my opinion.

These will be my first 2oz coins (excluding the gods & goddesses) so interested to see what they will be like, diameter looks huge on them.

Hi Chris - Are you aware if the mintage for these is limited to 1000 pieces per each of the  12 x years, or is this 1000 sets?

in other words is there potential for more coins to be released in other set formats such as 1/2, 1oz, 2oz etc - thanks

  6. I have had an email from BBP and the crowdfunding  offer has now been withdrawn, reason being:

"The interest generated by our crowdfunding has presented some unexpected opportunities for the

business that mean we have decided not to continue with the crowdfunding campaign.

This is the right decision for BullionByPost, and will best enable us to focus on delivering our

    vision for the business."

Read of that what you will

Reading the skepticism laced into some of the questions in the forum section of the pitch I think BBP realised that they were onto a hiding for nothing.

One question response that did make my laugh was when one potential investor queried why almost the same amount of money that was being requested by the pitch was drawn as dividends no less than six months ago. To paraphrase Stein he said he needed his part of the money as he had a young family and wanted to do up his house. - It did not read well and came across poorly.

Their CFO was also poor in his attempt to justify the valuation of the company as well as the low stock offer vis a vis funding required. Came across as never-neverland and that we are an existing business and we know how much we are worth.

What is worrying is that it is common practise when raising capital to explore more than one option. What I do find strange is that they did not let the pitch proceed for the time set and in the scheme of things pulled the plug very very early. Nothing ventured nothing gained as the saying goes, and even if the pitch was fully subscribed they were not honoured bound to go with the offer - As you say, read into it what you will.

  7. A red letter day today.

Daughter has given birth to her second child, our fourth grandchild, and the first boy.

So what do you buy a newly born baby boy ? - Silly question :)

The year of the horse, mother of pearl insert, mintage of 888, and five ounces. - Much better than a childs ISA

  8. Danny - As suggested above, have you tried Friedhelm?

As is the case for the anniversary Somalia Elephants set from the Bavarian Mint, a number of the early coins had been minted but were stored and were never sent out for distribution. I know this might be a long shot with the Gorilla et al, but you never know.

From my own experience he was able to hunt down a Mint of Poland set for me that had not been offered for a couple of years
