  1. Quite an interesting short vid on Youtube.
  2. It seems to me they keep on trying to slap it down and it just keeps on rising back up again..? 🤔 Currently £1928.46 according to my chart.
  3. This is a long awaited correction, and for all those bankers who have been up to their manipulating shenanigans for so many years, as well as dodgy governments printing pound notes to make themselves rich and everyone else poor, the chickens would seem to be finally coming home to roost. I'm sure they'll have further tricks up their sleeves though if it goes too far. Probably start another war somewhere.
  4. Brits are currently auctioning for around £30 on ebay. So if I look at it that way, I'm slightly in profit, although after fees I would probably be just about back to square one. It needs to go up a bit for me yet to feel secure, but I'm pretty much of the same mindset that it needs to go to 10x before there is any real point to it.
  5. I bought a bunch of silver from RM as a naive newbie and the price worked out at £27.70 per Brit, so mine is still underwater, but hope is on the horizon...
  6. wouldn't surprise me at this rate..
  7. £1904.08 Spot price of a sov is now £447
  8. Just start a new thread like this one, but in the buy/sell here.. https://www.thesilverforum.com/forum/13-uk-ungraded/
  9. The whole lot should go if you list it in the Buy and Sell section. With asking prices of course... You might find it easier to sell if you are willing to split rather than trying to shift the entire stack as a job lot, although having said that, someone might come along and take it all in one go. Maybe keep your options open and say you will sell as a full stack or split as required.
  10. Bluddy hell. I sold 5x1oz Brits last year for around £1540 a piece and struggled to shift them at that price. Wish I'd kept the buggers now...😒
  11. People will start to buy again once they get their heads around the raised spot price and understand that this weeks high could be next weeks low. I imagine it will take a while with silver though as it's been wallowing around at such a low spot for so many years. Everyone is still a bit sceptical that this is a flash in the pan and spot will fall again. If it doesn't, FOMO will take over. As @Petra keeps telling us on an almost daily basis : "just keep buying" 😁
  12. Any predictions as to how the week will progress...? For the moment gold is holding it's position well and even silver is making gains. According to my chart, we now have £1848.49
  13. According to my chart it's at £1823 now. What's with that counter at the top of the page..? It always seems to be wrong..
  14. Someone suggested a few days ago that the west has lost, or is losing, the power to manipulate PMs, and it is this which is the main driver of the rises in spot. This stikes a chord with me as I can't find any other reason for it which isn't a bit too flimsy to be believeable, and especially so when one considers the rise in silver spot as it is even more manipulated than the gold price. The dollar and all western currencies are on the decline and the influence of the BRICS would seem to be on the rise, add that to all of the gold purchasing by certain central banks over the last year and we might begin to see the answer..
  15. I couldn't agree more that voting makes no difference, because they're all singing from the same song sheet on a global scale, as was so blatantly demonstrated during the covid farce, and no matter who you vote for, you will always get more of the same. However, a spoilt ballot paper is supposedly still counted. You could speculate that they count the spoilt papers to keep tabs on the level of discontent from the plebs, and to forewarn if the numbers get too great and become a possible threat. This time I intend to spoil my paper and make it crystal clear that I do not consent to any of it, and will not under any circumstances choose parasite A, B, C, or D to lord it over me while he/she/it runs off with all the tax revenue in his/her/its pocket, while bending all the rules or making up new ones to benefit themselves, illegal immigrants, the police, and other criminals . I don't expect spoiling my paper to make any difference other than to put me on a government list of possible subversives on a home office computer somewhere. There is another likely scenario, and that is that the entire thing is rigged to provide the desired outcome every time regardless. We know it's rigged to the benefit of the main two by the FPTP system, but even with that safeguard in place, I suspect there are further manipulations that go on to ensure pole position is always passed only between Labour and Conservative - consider the South Thanet scenario in 2015 for example. Missing ballot boxes my left bollock... ! This is way off topic. Gold is about to punch through the £1800 mark. ..... And no one seems to know what's driving it....🤔
  16. Gold is money, everything else is credit. (Old quote by JP Morgan) Is that better..?
  17. As @Gruff states above, the increasing price of gold is better considered from the viewpoint of devalueing fiat. This is really the only way to look at it in fact. Your "money" is intrinsically worthless and only given a value by official decree (or FIAT). As soon as you start looking at it from the perspective of gold and other real commodities value remaining as a constant and all of the paper and 'numbers on a computer screen' currencies around it becoming more worthless, you will come to understand. There are of course elements of fakery, bankers shenanigans, and price gouging to be taken into account when considering the rising prices of tins of soup and beans etc.

  19. Funny how you sometimes forget stuff... Now that you mention it, I remember that too. I can even remember being paid by postal order, or cash sent through the post in some instances.
  20. Yes, international selling adds another set of variables and potential problems, so you have your work cut out for you, no doubt about that. I forgot to mention in my last post : I don't post abroad under any circumstances nowadays, although I used to. I guess that and the fact that I now offer collection only for larger items shows how the world has changed, and in my opinion for the worse as the years have passed. Good luck.
  21. I'm in the same position as @Organics I've been using ebay since 2001 and have seen it all. It's always been a bit of a dodgy platform in my experience, both for buying and selling, but the nature of the risks and scams have changed a bit over the years. In the early years I found the main risks to be : 1. from hackers who simply wanted to bugger up your account and lock you out of it. That happened to me twice and I lost two ebay accounts and two paypal accounts because of it. Fortunately there were only pennies in the Paypal accounts in both cases. 2. from ebay itself, and from Paypal. Both entities were extremely dodgy cowboy outfits at the beginning, and both had a cavalier attitude towards their customers ( pretty much like they have now lol ), but where nowadays you can just send an email or (perish the thought) lift the phone and ring them and actually speak to someone, or even get them to ring YOU, it was almost impossible to contact them back in the day, and if you lost money or got locked out of your account by a hacker, it was the general rule that they couldn't give two hoots about it and told you, tough luck and you can get stuffed. Again, this happened to me twice in the early years. Royal Mail, and other carriers can also all be unhelpful in the extreme should something go wrong. This has always been the case. Nowadays, as we all know, there are all kinds of risks on ebay involving fake items and phishing scams, especially in the realm of pms. Not that it didn't exist before, but it's all just a lot more prevalent and blatant now, and ebay are pretty hit and miss with regards to helping you out if you get into trouble. Sometimes they will help and sometimes they wont - it all depends on whether you can jump through all of the hoops they set before you when a problem arises. As a fledgling stacker I purchased a few silver coins on ebay and as far as I know I wasn't scammed, but I've met too many people who have bought fake silver or gold on there and wouldn't take the risk myself now. I've also sold a couple of silver coins on there - a couple means two only - but was never comfortable about doing it, and in both cases spent the entire time from listing until confirmation of delivery on tenderhooks like a quivering nervous wreck, hoping I hadn't entered into a scam transaction. Everybody is different and everybody has different experiences, but for me at least, ebay pm trading is not an option and I wont do it, but lots of others do it with regularity and with great success. It's an individual choice. I still sell the occasional item on ebay, but take every precaution I can think of, using photographs and videos, and I always send by some kind of recorded or special delivery, even for low value items. What I particularly recommend is to take a photograph of the packaged and labelled item at the post office counter when it's just about to go into the bag, that way you can prove conclusively that you have posted it. For bigger things like guitars I wont send at all these days (although I used to). For stuff like that it's collection only from me, and if buyers don't like it, they can buy elsewhere. BTW, there are loads of threads on ebay sprinkled liberally throughout TSF. I recommend anyone who wants to start using ebay scrolls through them for some good anecdotes and advice, as well as some spectacular horror stories and nightmare scenarios.
  22. It's been rising since 12.23pm when it was at £1602.96 according to my chart. So what's the cause today then chaps..?
  23. Aye, that too... Very annoying. Yes. Very annoying it is.
  24. That's it in a nutshell mate. Someone on another thread the other day posted a pic of a silly lady smiling or laughing, and the joke caption for it was "I'm happy because I don't know what's happening" (or something very similar). Sad to say most regular folks are still very much asleep and oblivious to the real goings on in the world. @artalien I agree about Mr Funky. He's a scaremonger and clickbait specialist. The last of his vids I watched (only in part) was a while ago and he was yakking on about AKs being secretly delivered to UK migrant hotels. I'm just not that far down that particular rabbithole quite yet so I switched him off and unsubscribed. I've unsubscribed to quite a few of the more idiotic prepper channels on YT.
  25. Yeah me too, likely it would be raided at the first sign of food shortage though..🤔
