The 'Evolution' Companion Series of Proof Kookaburra coins released by the Perth Mint celebrates the expansion of the frontiers of human knowledge. as we begin the 21st century, it is an appropriate time to commemorate the tools we have developed to understand our world.  This five-year series will feature a special design on each year's 10oz proof coin based on the theme of 'Evolution'.

2001- 10 Dollars - Elizabeth II 4th Portrait - Evolution of the Calendar – Mintage 1269
The first design is the 'Evolution of the Calendar'. The Gregorian calendar used throughout most of the world today, has evolved from increasingly accurate methods of measuring the movements of the Earth and Moon as they orbit the Sun. for the first time in the Australian Kookaburra proof series, colour has been used to highlight the central design area, which features an image of the solar system, the key element to the development of all calendar systems.

2002 - 10 Dollars - Elizabeth II 4th Portrait - Evolution of Time – Mintage 1130

The coin is the second release in the Evolution Companion Series of Proof Kookaburra coins, which celebrates the expansion of frontiers of human knowledge. The five year series, which commenced in 2001, features a special design on each 10oz proof coin based on the theme of evolution.
This coin features an intricate design incorporating representations of ancient and modern timekeeping methods and the Latin inscription 'Tempus fugit et nunquam revertitur' (Time flies and never returns).
The obverse design bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In keeping with the theme of time, the 2002 10oz Evolution coin has been 'antiqued' to give it an aged appearance

2003 - 10 Dollars - Elizabeth II 4th Portrait - Evolution of The Alphabet– Mintage 779

The 2003 Australian Kookaburra 'Evolution of the Alphabet' 10oz Silver Coin features a special design featuring symbols from languages from around the world including ancient languages. At the centre of the coin is a stylised a-z design along with the weight and fineness and year date.

3 of the coins come with original boxes & packaging, 1 has been graded by PCGS, and the other is in a capsule.  Scratches/marks are on capsule.  I can re-take photo's if required
