Saint Eligius ( December 660 AD) is the Patron Saint  of Silver and Gold Smiths, as well as all  coin collectors!. This beautifully done High Relief 2 Troy oz Silver Medal pays tribute to this Saint along with many well known  numismatic coins from history! This is a big 50mm size 2 Oz .999 silver high-relief silver round made by the Intaglio Mint.
On the reverse 6 different coins are circled around the Intaglio-mint crest.

First, in the 12 o'clock position: Hammer struck Lydian Lion (1/3 stater), arguably the oldest known coin.
At 2 o'clock -  The Chinese Cash Coin, cast in medieval Asia.
At 4 o'clock -  A Byzantine Solidus, marking the money used after the fall of the West.
At the 6 o'clock position - The Pillar Dollar, widely used by many countries as the first international currency, with the uniformity partly due to the milled coinage machines used.
At 8 o'clock - The Sovereign, depicting Pistrucci’s masterpiece of St. George slaying the dragon, a classic design that moved circulating coinage away from heraldry into beautiful motifs.
At 10 o'clock -  Last, but not least, one of America’s greatest coin designs of all times, the Winged Liberty, more widely known as the Mercury Dime.
