Spreadsheet or similar tracker

Is there a well known spreadsheet format or low cost/free software program that can track your gold and silver purchase? Im one of those people that know what they want and how it will work but cant go into (excel for example) and create it.

Even if its just something you use.

What I would be looking for is something I can put a description in, my cost (per round/bar or tube) the going rate at that time and then the current rate I would plug in somewhere and it would propagate to the cells in the spreadsheet/program.

Thanks!

** Oh I want this disconnected from the internet/online. So a client side program or spreadsheet.

Ok answered my own question sort of. I saw some here but they were not what I was looking for. So I found this and with a little tweaking I can copy and insert additional lines (for each purchase) then add a separate column for price I paid for that Item.

There is one for CAD/USD then another for GBP/USD. If you enable the outside connections it will update the price per ounce. You should be able to toggle that or even manually enter the data.

If anyone has anything else they would like to share that would be nice also.
