the 87 has a kinda proof like finish....weight 31.6 pass earth magnet test but ping sounded weird.....soory i cant get a better pic thats the best phone can do. the coin its self it an immaculate fake if it is because side by side they are identical except in front of her face in between the B and E that kinda lattice lines behind the stars kinda isnt there. the coin has a toning but there is black stuff on it too....i dont know i need some help guys. im not super new to stacking but ive only been doing this for about a year and a half or so. i dont have any older eagles that 07 and i dont have any proofs or anything....looking at pics is hard to tell over the internet because it has that yellow toning and kinda proof luster....i dont know what to think.

The finish on Silver Eagles has varied widely over the years - a lot of the older ones do appear shinier than the newer more matt versions.

what about the ping test is sounds alot lower than a new eagle more like a ring than a ping. idk ive never had an old one like this and it sounds dif. looks dif.....but weight and magnet test are good 31.6 is high but not to high

The older eagles ping test do sound dull compared to new eagles. Similar to a Maples ping. I’m sure it’s not a fake but Do a specific gravity test to be sure.

With the fake eagles showing up here more and more it might be a good idea to buy NGC, PCGS or ANACS graded eagles. I found graded eagles here for around $20 to $23 each. And yes i know that they cost more but if you buy fake eagles how much do the fakes cost you?

ok specific gravity is 10.4.....submerged it is 2.9-3.0.....so i guess its def. 999 silver....that ring threw me off, but from what you guys are saying and the specific gravity being rite....guess its an eagle.
