US Pre-33 Gold Prices

Was thinking about this, as i'm currently trying to get a graded set of US pre-33 gold eventually and I bought the quarter eagle Indian Head today ( thanks Ebay 20% offer!)

I remember seeing a video by a few US stackers saying how the price of pre-33 had taken a tumble recently and a quick look at my redbook from 2013 confirms it.

I managed to pick up a random year MS63 for £403 if I don't include all the offers & vouchers I used.

I'm bound to get sent a common date 1929 unless i'm lucky but the lowest MS63 in 2013 went for $950... in the dog end of 2017 it is $510

I know gold has dropped around $300 in that time but that is quite a drop. All the arrows on the NGC value chart show a downward trend.

Good time to pick up pre-33 cheap or are collectors falling out of love with it?
