And then finally, finally, the correct coa for my gold proof 3 coin set arrived ! I think I may be the only owner with the correct coa and the originally incorrect now "error" coa. And for the record, the error certificate is the no27 and the correct one is the 17.
 
 

And finally, after 3 months, having been sent back to The Royal Mint due to quality issues, the 6 coin silver proof set cert number 88 arrived. Cracking box and clean. I now have the 6 coin silver proof set, the 3 coin gold proof set and the 2 coin reverse proof silver set. It has been a long journey but well worth the wait

After all my modern malarky adventures into modern silver semi numismatics, I had to get back to full numismatics. I used the excuse of going to get a recently purchased silver beast graded and Popped off to my local numismatic only shop and got an 1832 sovereign. They know me so gave me a 10% discount. I dragged my sleeping baby along as well......I am shameless Felt good to be back in gold numismatic sovs again and not guessing. Second bust type fyi.

Taking my first look in hand ( they just growled in the door) at what will partner my incoming pair of 1/4oz beasts. Design of the lion beast is smashing. The size and everything else is pretty ordinary to be honest in my opinion. They do not look or feel like coins. But they will always be displayed beast side up and that side looks good. 
 

Couple of Ronnie the Rooster proofs with their missusses and kids turned up today. Was expecting to pay duty but Perth Mint labelled them as Numismatic Collectibles, so nothing extra. Change up fom 999 to 9999 purity for the first time with Perth lunars hence my first buy of these proofs...
 

Hastily taken photos on my way out the door....took advantage of the RM discount if buying both together and got the 2015 and 2016 1/40th gold proofs.....great packaging, including the very well constructed and strong cardboard box (not shown in pics) they came in.....if every product was packed with this much strength, it would be great.

This arrived today. Really nice. 2016 silver proof Britannia and reverse frosted proof presentation set. First of its kind and impressive in hand. The outer box is jet black and sleek. There is no garish labelling on the lid....very nice touch. Inner box looks sumptuous. According to Apmex, there are only 7 sets left.

My unboxed no coa handled 1989 anniversary 1/2 and full sovereigns finally came back from grading. I really was not expecting much so pleasantly surprised with a 69.
Picked the 1/2 sov up for about 100 quid or so a couple of years ago and the full sov for about (350 - edit) quid a few years ago and happy to know they are not fakes.
