  1. Hi Steve,

Not at all, it's a legitimate query. Why would I want a mod to delete your post? Lulz. It should be 2 sovs & a quarter really, based on the HGM prices I looked at today. As explained in the original post my price is trying to find a middle ground between the highest and lowest price I've seen the set go for and somewhat haughtily imagining that my set is at the better end of the examples I've seen. Doubtless it's a niche item: what I will say is I've seen a large number -at least 15- of the coins in the set go singly for £40 plus down the years, oftentimes without COA's. I've been tempted to go down that route but it is a collection after all and seems a shame to break it up and chuck the box for the sake of financial expediency.

Anyway it's out there now and I'm sure people will form a view.

    Kind regards.

  2. Quite an impressive set really... 22 Sterling, 2 0.999 coins in a Cherry Wood Presentation box. Two coins from 12 Commonwealth countries: Alderney, Australia, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, East Caribbean States, Fiji, Guernsey, Jersey, New Zealand, Solomon Islands and the UK. All proofs with limited mintages. 20 of the 24 coins have 24k gold plating on the Queen's portrait. They seem to have made the odd error though: some of them have more gold than portrait! COA for each coin as well as an explanatory booklet. 22 troy ounces of silver all told. Complete package aside from a velvet pouch that they come with when new. Hard to judge the value: seen them go on Ebay from 260 to well over 600 pounds. I can't vouch for the condition of those ones but this is in very good condition, coin & presentation box both and aside from a couple of dinks on the box you'd think it was brand new.

Will take £550 cash but would much prefer 2 & a quarter sovereigns. It's a bit of a beast weight wise so I have to ask for £20 postage UK or worldwide.
