The guy said that in reference to silver graded half dollars from 1964 and 1963 that developed spotting while in the holder. 
You should always buy the coin and not the label
the coins grade and the coins eye appeal could sometimes be quite different.

Just received the 5 gram and 1 gram sizes = So the collection of the re-releases is complete = 1 ounce, 10, 5, and 1 gram

The New Year is off to a good start - a Pick up from a local dealer -  Just love the 1/4 oz size gold coins. Now just waiting for the Beast to arrive!        

I agree - Do not know why the PCGS Descriptions are not Consistent.  Maybe the fact they they initially labeled them as PF69DCAM. 
 

Newest additions to the collection 2017 If off to a great start - Queens Beast 2 ounce Lion and Griffin - PCGS MS-69 and a run of American Silver eagles from 1986 to 1992 in a capital plastic holder. I like the coins in the Slab as they are easier to store and show then in regular capsules and I like the flag.

Sorry to here it is a fake.  Since becoming a forum member a few months ago I feel that as members of this community we can joke around and mess within our own but we never want to let one of our own get ripped off, etc.  That is one thing the forum can bring to its members - the knowledge base and the professional skepticism so that we can all learn and grow as collectors and complete the projects we undertake.  

Looking at the trade dollar I would just put a magnet to it - to see if a fake - a lot of these are showing up in the US and Europe - If it is real nice pick-up.

Completed the 1 ounce Pamp Suisse Metal Family today.  Received the 1 ounce Rhodium, Platinum, and Palladium.  Waiting on Pamp to release a 1 ounce copper.  Sure the premium on those will be $$.  Enjoy

The 2016 releases of the gold dime, quarter, and half dollar needed a reunion with their big sister.    An absolutely stunning $20 gold ultra high relief coin.

Picked up these two beauty's at the local coin show today - Considering that they are the old style holders - to find them in mint condition is really hard to do.  Most have handling damage, the plastic separating on the assay card, etc.
 
 

Another new addition to the 1/4 oz gold World Collection - Picked up for $100 Less than the list price for a raw coin from the royal mint. I have to say that although many dislike this coin, it actually grows on you the more you look at it. (And No - Not like a wart )
