Sigma Metalytics - new "Investor" model: why did they bother?

Recommended Posts

This fella shows it

I fail to see why they bothered.

it costs more than the Pro Mini, has identical specs, and is twice the size. They could have made the sensor a bit taller, to measure thicknesses over 10mm (most Kg silver bars for example).

But noooo, same spec exactly. Saves you from connecting it to a tablet or phone. So what if the tiny screen it has is not wide enough for a silver bar? With no WiFi the tablet is not even an option. What a missed opportunity to expand the Mini Pro..

If you want a desktop device you'd probably go for the Pro, which has a lot more functionality (connects to a bridge too)
