Newbie here: GSR Spread/Rubber-band trade

Hiya Silver folks,

Starting the thread here, but I guess technically it could go under Gold as well. That said, I’m not completely new to trading stocks, but for the first time I’m excited with the notion of learning about rubber-band trading Metals. Excited about a possible/repeatable spread trade strategy that I hope I can leverage.  I’m reaching out in this forum to see what the experiences have been and if anyone has any relative feedback.  That said, again my newbie plan involves a subscription to trade recommendations/software tools geared towards GSR spread/vs trade.  With all the noise out there, I see that I want to just focus on one technique that makes sense, prove it’s mostly successful and just build on that.  Obviously additional research helps with confidence, but what I see more than anything, is just the mechanics of choosing an options trade feels and looks like speaking in tongues.  The funny thing is the more I research and learn, the more cautious I find myself, not ready to pull any trigger.   Options on their own seem like the worst to understand.  More recently, I’ve discovered the spread options on metal futures technique seems way more like my style, but I laugh at this because I don’t feel like I know enough here either. Or maybe all of this is the sharing of too much weakness/uncertainty? LOL.  Thanks in advance for any feedback people.
