    German Silver

Would you spend £19.89 plus £2.45 on a 7.77g bar of silver anyway even if it was genuine silver? Totally not silver. Avoid.

Hello Earlswood and welcome to TSF. Have you checked the cutlery for any hall mark to make sure they are silver?
  3. Hi Trev welcome to TSF. Have fun here.
  4. That is a pretty steep price for that amount of silver. More info here: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces29158.html
  5. Had to think about this and then realised the joke! Thanks @PapaLazarou
  6. A couple of oz more to add to my newbie stack.
  7. Welcome to The Silver Forum @Syed. I am a newbie around here too and have found this place awesome for information and advice.
  8. That mark looks really bad in the photos you have posted. It couldn't possible left the mint like that due to the quality processes they have in place so where did it pick it up? Looks like a scratch to me but I am not an expert, strange colour too.
  9. Hi S welcome to the forum. I am a newbie around here too. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and experience in precious metals. Enjoy your time here.
  10. Talking about 100oz bars there is one on ebay for sale, currently @ £16.65 per oz. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100oz-Silver-Bar-999-Bullion-Bache-Rare-Bar-Johnson-Matthey-ltd/114198880973?hash=item1a96c8a2cd%3Ag%3AgX4AAOSw8j9eg2B9&LH_Auction=1

  12. Welcome to The Silver Forum. I am a newbie here too and there is much to learn and a massive amount of knowledge here. All the best, David.
  13. Total newbie here but done a bit of digging. The engraver was Raphael David Maklouf from what I can find out so should have RDM below the queens head like on this listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252672247173 The listing you are looking at has no engraver initials so imo I would steer clear, but I am very new to this.
  14. @HelpingHands Yeah I guess that makes sense, but why would anyone want to spend that kind of money on one? Just seems a bit off to me.
