Breaking Free, I have another Coin Review
In Silver videos
Posted
I’m not sure this coin evokes sufficiently strong feelings to be “Marmite”. My overwhelming impression was that it was another miss- uninspiring in exactly the same way that the Royal Mint’s recent Landmarks of Britain (which never made it out of London) series was.
Five minutes of Google searching produced the whole “Queen Crest” designed by Freddie Mercury to reflect the star signs of the band members. The mint could have featured this more centrally, maybe with lyrics around the edge- this space is wasted with the lazy and boring repetition of the coin’s .999 pure silver credentials.
I bought the coin because it’s a great idea-I just hope the execution improves.
