  1. We'll agree to disagree there. Systemic risk is everywhere, scared money don't make money.
  2. I don't mean this to sound condescending, but did you employ a proper risk management strategy? It's very easy to get carried out using lev in crypto if you don't use a stop loss 😄
  3. Good luck. There's a big reality shift from trading a paper account to real money 🫡
  4. The real inflation figure is and always has been far higher than the quoted figures we get from CBs. p.s I saw a stat (I'll try find it) that simply holding S&P over time vs buying at market open and exiting at the close you would would be up exponentially more. I realise not everyone can sit there at 2:30pm (if you're a Brit) and manage your portfolio that way. But you can pay a money manager to do that.
  5. Goldbugs have been getting cucked by the inflation narrative for decades. If you had held the S&P500 since 1925, adjusted for inflation you would have netted zero. You have to get in and out. It's all well and good being the ethical investor, but i'm here to make money to better me and my family.
  6. Holding above £21.6 for 3-6 months is when we can begin to crack open the champagne
  7. With all due respect, that's not entirely how markets work. Yes there is always a taker, but just because I sold my bags at the top and someone may have just bought it, in an asset class with an increasing market cap not everybody gets reemed out.
  8. It doesn't stop you from hopping on the merry go round and then hopping off when it looks like the music is about to stop. 😃
  9. All items withdrawn, worlds going down the swanny, gonna need to buy my cat food with Yale of Beauforts soon. Thanks all.
  10. No, however i'm not quite into the realms of splitting them yet. The thought of sending 50 small parcels out around christmas time fills me with the fear of god.
  11. 1st sale completed, I has feedbacks! Any more takers?
  12. Hi all, I've a variety of bits and pieces for sale, feel free to ask any questions. All purchases to be made via BACS transfer, items can be sent (at cost to buyer) via methods depending on buyers risk tolerance 😄 Given I don't post much (I do lurk a lot however) I realise people will be skeptical here, but willing to listen to how people go about these things with a newbie, i'll take calls or whatever from people. I digress.. 50no. 2019 2oz Yale of Beaufort Queens Beasts, none removed from capsules since purchase from the Royal Mint. Would ideally like to sell in batches of 5/10+ to start with, with a view to separating at a later date if needs be. £65.00 each (deals over 5 coins can be negotiated). 10no. 2021 Britannia - tiniest bits of milking but nothing crazy, haven't been kept in capsules - £250 1kg Royal Mint Silver Bar, sealed - £775.00 Royal Mint 500g Silver Bar, sealed - £400.00 1kg Metalor Silver Bar with COA - £SOLD My personal favourite, purchased new from BBP (have receipt) - 1kg Prioksky refinery silver bar, really lovely cast on this one - £725.00 It's not milking in the photo, I pulled it all out of the safe and it was freezing cold, it's condensation. Happy shopping.
  13. Thanks Guys. Having looked at the chart now is probably not a good time to sell off the Platinum! If I sold them now i'd probably be just above breaking even, I bought them new during the 2020 crash for £810 each.
  14. Hi all, A bit of a lurker here, got a decent stash of a few bits and pieces but i'm looking to reallocate and would like to move on some platinum I have. I've got some 1oz royal mint bars (with cert) but I have no idea what to set the price at as there's very little out there to benchmark against. Can anyone offer some hints? Chris
  15. Plus a lot of people don't want to buy from dealers where there's a record, I know it's extreme but the government has confiscated gold once before...
