Thank you for your replies, The information I stated in original post is what I was told by a local jeweller and all she said was its old but she couldn't say how old as the lion passant was used before the current hallmarks, before this I didn't know a thing about the markings i will try and get clear pictures.

Hi can anyone help to identify the hallmarks on my two gold rings I've been told they are 9ct gold and 1 ring has diamond and garnet stones and the other has diamond and tanzinite, if anyone can help to identify the hallmarks for the maker and year of the rings I would be extremely grateful. Hi can anyone help identify the hallmarks on my sterling silver brooch, it has the lion passant mark so I've been told it's old but how old I don't know but I know the lion passant was only used to a certain year. I would be grateful for any help.
