Is this the BEST Gold Coin ever? | 50 Pesos number 3 added to my stack!

Thanks for uploading the video and showcasing this wonderful coin BYB.

You ask if its worth stacking?  Absolutely, a fantastic investment- as is all Mexican Gold coinage, beautiful coins overflowing with history.

Keep on stacking them! Can't wait to see more Centenarios added to the BYB/ Mrs BYB heavy artillery stack in the years to come!

Like you pointed out BYB, the 1921 inaugural Centenario (mintage 180,400) is highly prized by collectors and a key date- as is the 1931 & 1931 1 Over 0 (collective mintage 136,860) which marked the end of the first run of Centenarios until production recommenced in 1943 (mintage 89,400).

This 1943 year date like you say, had no denomination to the Reverse of the coin and instead has the '37.5G. ORO PURA' inscription either side of the Goddess.  The 2015 Whitman Publication of Don & Lois Bailey's 'Mexican Money Vol. 2: Modern Coins of Mexico 1905 to Date' seperates out the 1943 from the remainder as a different type of 50 Pesos and their price guide valuation, (which is clearly now out of date!) values the 1943 $100 dollars less than remainder of the others?

Anyway- Mintage figures from Don & Lois Bailey's Whitman Book:

Not sure the opportunity to acquire this one will be on the horizon anytime soon- but we can all live in hope!

The Mexican 50 pesos gold coin is a much larger piece, of course, than my French 20 francs Marianne Rooster gold coin but you’ve got the same concept of liberty in the edge lettering and embodied in the beautiful figures, albeit winged in the case of the 50 pesos. Both were restruck at some time and both have a .900 fineness.

@BackyardBullion Would you happen to know more about the rim text that is 'upside down' on one of your coins? I checked the coins I have. And I also have one where the text is upside down. Is that a mistake, or did they just randomly struck which way up the text was?
