We’re writing to inform you of updates regarding how membership payments are processed on The Silver Forum and a change of new Premium Membership packages.

 

What’s Changing?

Starting 13th January 2025, all new purchases, including new Premium Memberships, Pay to Feature, and new Business Account purchases, along with any new purchased advertising or associated new purchases on The Silver Forum will be processed by Birdseye Enterprises Pte. Ltd., our newly established Singapore company (UEN: 202449342Z). This company also operates The Gold Forum, (Public release Q1 2025) our new and additional platform with an emphasis on gold and live-chat features with native iOS and Android apps.

The Silver Forum - New Premium Membership purchases

As previously stated, our investment in The Silver Forum (TSF) continues, and we will continue providing a platform with a FREE Standard Membership as well as low-cost optional Premium Membership. In line with our commitment to offer affordable and accessible memberships, we are updating our Premium Membership packages for new subscriptions. Reducing the cost of our highest priced TSF Premium Membership.

We are streamlining TSF’s Premium Membership offerings, making it simpler for new members to choose a plan. Until now, we’ve offered four tiers—Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Platinum PLUS—ranging from £7.99 to £19.99 per month (GBP). Starting 13th January 2025, we will consolidate our Premium Membership offerings into just two packages:

•  Premium Lite at £9 per month (including VAT)
  (£7.50 + VAT)
   
• Premium Plus at £14 per month (including VAT)
  (£11.67 + VAT)

These will be offered just as monthly subscriptions. 

The included benefits are also changing slightly for these new packages. You will be able to find detailed benefits of each package in the subscription store upon release. There is also a change in the way that subscriptions are handled within the software, making it easier for new subscribers to cancel their renewals or upgrade their membership tier, and to avoid accidental duplicate purchases. In addition to GBP, we will continue to offer membership pricing in USD, EUR, and AUD. With applicable taxes.

We remain dedicated to making TSF an excellent resource for the community—providing both a FREE membership and new, more straightforward Premium Membership options.

The Silver Forum - Existing Premium Membership renewals

Existing memberships and service renewals will continue to renew under Christopher Birdseye trading as The Silver Forum, UK and will appear as “The Silver Forum UK” on your bank statements. Your Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum PLUS memberships will continue to renew as normal. If you cancel your membership or let it lapse you will need to re-subscribe under one of the new Premium Membership options offered on our platform at the time. (Premium Lite / Premium Plus) Over time, we aim to eventually transition all operations to Birdseye Enterprises Pte. Ltd.

 

Business Accounts

New Business Account purchases will be subject to applicable VAT or taxes, the prices in GBP will be:
 

• Business Gold £20 per month + VAT, or £199 per year + VAT
• Business Platinum £30 per month + VAT, or £299 per year + VAT
   

VAT can be deducted at checkout based on your VAT number, and accounted for under the reverse charge mechanism.

Over time, we aim to eventually transition all Business Accounts and associated purchases to Birdseye Enterprises Pte. Ltd.

 

Why Are We Making This Change?

1. Operational Efficiency: This transition aligns with the founder’s current residency outside the UK. It will eventually allow us to run both platforms under a unified structure, enhancing our ability to run both platforms effectively.
    
2. Global Focus: Singapore is well known for being geopolitically neutral. Just as we maintain a neutrality in our management, it was equally important for us to register our business in a location that shares the same global perspective.

In addition, robust data protection under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) protect members data.


Key Details for Members

• New Sign-Ups: Any new subscriptions or purchases will be processed by Birdseye Enterprises Pte. Ltd. and appear as “The Silver Forum SG” on your bank statements.
   
• Existing Subscriptions: Auto-renewals will remain unchanged for now.
   
• Cancelled Memberships: If you cancel and later re-subscribe, your payment will be processed under the Singapore entity. You would also need to to rejoin under one of the new packages provided, Premium Lite or Premium Plus at the current rates in the forum store. Please note that members on older subscription rates; if you cancel your membership or let it lapse, as per forum terms you would need to join at the current rate / available packages at the time of re-joining. We therefore advise you to keep an active card securely saved on file and to not let your membership lapse.
   

VAT

The price for any new purchases will now include VAT/Tax at the applicable rate, the prices displayed will be inclusive of any applicable taxes.

New Business Account purchases will now include VAT/Taxes at the applicable rates.

All other associated new purchases and new services purchases will also include VAT or applicable taxes.

 

 

What Do You Need to Do?

No action is required if you have an active subscription. There is no price change to your Premium Membership or included benefits, providing it is kept active.
