This is inevitably going to end up being where gold gets traded imo.

I do have slight concerns about needing to manage 2 platforms but more so on how the new instant messaging system on TGF might change the way deals are done. With more real-time, private conversations, people who are naturally more social or used to chatting quickly, like on social media, could end up getting most of the deals which likely does happen but with the new system how much more? 

That’s great for them, but for those of us who prefer the transparency of vast trade public listings or aren’t as comfortable with back-and-forth negotiations, it could feel like we’re missing out.

Look forward to it and hope it proves to satisfy everyone involved.

I think we on around 50 or so, so far  They will be two distinct platforms that offer slightly different things. Also reduces risk as both platforms may move in slightly different directions. Also the structuring of both businesses will be slightly different. 

There was another question also about what if members cancel their TSF membership, I will find that and quote and reply to that also..

 

Exactly this post, highlights why forum topics are good. You can read at your leisure and then come back to read it again later.

Live chat topics, and feed style topics are a different type of experience. 

Both platforms offer something different in terms of what their main focus will be, depending on different times of day and how much free time a member may have and what time of what they wish to engage online. There is of course will be a lot of overlap two between the two platforms.

Do we pay for both forums? Do I have to pay extra on top of platinum? How much is it to upgrade to yearly platinum plus in order to get the new second forum for free? I guess I’ll have to be in or I’ll be left on TSF by myself waiting for sales listings, which will ultimately all be on the new forum

In short, It would be a lower cost to pay the discounted rate rather than upgrading to Platinum PLUS. They are separate businesses. TGF cost would be only £3.49 inclusive of VAT effective monthly cost, providing TSF membership continues. This is a founding member discounted rate from the full £14.99 per month for TGF. The original post explains all and in more details.
