Thank you for your concerns, you are likely in the user group that prefers just to use one website. And that is absolutely fine. There are more members joining TSF every day, and TGF is limited by membership seats. We also have only become aware of existence to a very small amount of people in the precious metals space. There is a still lot more room, with effective marketing to increase our membership numbers on TSF as well as TGF.

There is more than enough space for both platforms to co-insist. Please do not worry about there not being enough content on TSF for you there are also FREE standard members who contribute posts to TSF, this free standard membership will be continued to be offered. TSF will continue to grow also.

I didn't think about this immediately at the time but @Zhorro raises a valid point about people moving over to the gold forum.

Maybe a solution could be renaming the site to "The Gold & Silver Forum" and combining everything into one new site. Obviously I don't know if this is even possible, or something you've already considered @ChrisSilver.

I think we on around 50 or so, so far  They will be two distinct platforms that offer slightly different things. Also reduces risk as both platforms may move in slightly different directions. Also the structuring of both businesses will be slightly different. 

There was another question also about what if members cancel their TSF membership, I will find that and quote and reply to that also..

Exactly this post, highlights why forum topics are good. You can read at your leisure and then come back to read it again later.

Live chat topics, and feed style topics are a different type of experience. 

Both platforms offer something different in terms of what their main focus will be, depending on different times of day and how much free time a member may have and what time of what they wish to engage online. There is of course will be a lot of overlap two between the two platforms.

As to members concerns over logging into two websites, I have both amazon.co.uk and amazon.com subscriptions and I'm able to 'swap' sites within the one. Possible?

Can't find the specific question, perhaps it was @Zhorro's one. Anyway here are some of my notes...

Both platforms are slightly different in what they offer, in terms of layout, with TSF being a more traditional but modern forum in the way that topics are structured and TGF being a more live chat based focused solution. Members can join both, or either. And will likely spend some time on one and some other time on the other.

There are some members who do already use a combination of the forum, various Facebook groups, discord and other online communication platforms. Though I do completely understanding wanting to use as little as possible and most members may only want to use one or the other platform.

There will be some people that prefer one type of platform and some that prefer another. Some members may also end up using TGF more for real time communications when they have more free time to engage in instant messaging and TSF more for forum style of topics to read through casually in the evenings on their computer. (Just an example of how they could both be used by the same user at different times in the day)

In order not to sabotage TSF, only Gold will be able to be sold currently on TGF. Silver will be able to be sold on TSF. Gold can also still be sold on TSF, just like it has been in the past.

A stipulation of the discounted founding member rate is to keep your TSF Premium Membership activate. Of course if any members did unfortunately decide you would want to cancel your TSF membership and support of TSF we will of course move you to the TSF non Premium Founding Member rate for TGF of just £7.99 + VAT, rather than the full standard rate, as that would be the fairest thing to do as non premium TSF members can currently join at that rate.  

We would hope though that the majority of members would decide to keep their support of TSF 🙏

Also to note that any members on discounted TSF plans were to cancel their TSF membership and rejoin they would need to do so at the current TSF rate at the time. So it is beneficial to keep the membership.

TSF membership is priced lower that TGF, and also has a free standard member option. Also TGF membership seats will not always be available as they are limited, so some new members who have found out about either platform through our marketing may join TSF initially and engage in topics and trading there before later also joining TGF several years later.

There is space for both platforms and both platforms can complement each other, differing slightly in whah they provide.

Inevitably there will be some who use only TSF, there will be some that only use TGF, and there will be some members that enjoy both platforms. We can also potential cross link some parts for easier use, e.g, a quick link in the trade section to get to the trade section of the other platform.

You can create an account with a new username or keep your old username.  

If you wish to keep your TSF username and you would like us to validate your account (check the verified email is the same from the admin side) we can then add a "TSF username verified" badge to your TGF account if you would like. This helps members know the Roy they are speaking to on TGF is indeed you! And not an imposter pretending to be you.

Logins will be likely be separate, and a new account login with password. Most browsers securely save the password so shouldn't be an issue. On IOS specifically the passwords are randomly generated and then are saved and stored being faceID/fingerID, so they are secure but provide convenience when logging in. 

 

Also no reason why members can't have TSF open in one window on their computer, and a live messenger of TGF or chatroom open in another window on the same desktop device or on another device. (note that this screenshot was taken from a 13" MacBook, so those on a larger desktop screen will have more space to work with the position of windows. TGF can either be loaded in web browser, or as the TGF IOS/Android app. (Apple silicon MacBooks support IOS apps, so can download the native app and run it on MacBook, I believe Android has something similar) 



I myself often have TSF open on desktop whilst also having a messenger application open (Usually Whatsapp or Telegram). In-depth forum posts on TSF on the left and instant messaging with a friend in private conversation on the right on TGF, could be nice, and just one example of how they could both be used in tandem 😁

I just checked your pricing and it's cheaper than Netflix, and I don't spend much time on there either! 😊
