Pensioners need £10,000 a year just for living expenses............looks like I need to stack even more to cover my shortfall. Or more than likely I won't be retiring at 65, and I'll still be drawing a wage doing something or other

I have been smashing into a pension for 20 years since I was 17.

I'm hoping that my private pension, state pension and silver that I'll be ok.

I'm pretty sure all our state pensions have been spent, there gonna want us working till we're 75 by the time most of us get there, good job I like beans on toast!

There won't be a state pension by the time most of us here retire.  We're all living longer and the shortfall is ever increasing.

I work in the care industry and old age is damn expensive, the level of care dictated by the level of your health can be horrifically high.

But even if you are skint you will be looked after, where i work some pay full rent some are subsidized,due to personal wealth,controversial but give it to the kids and let the state keep you. 

Don't knock our health system its creaking at the seems and do-sent always get it right but it is a fine institution.

All you need is the money to get you to the point where you need care so you can do the things you could do when you where earning,quality basically not to struggle or worry..
