Anybody got any of these or even heard of them before?

Got a chance to get some fairly cheap, I'll take one for the collection but wondered if it's worth getting more.

Mintage of 11500 as far as I can see.

Only one I can see in sold items I can see on eBay, sold for £30+shipping.

Looks like I can get these fairly cheap.

Thoughts?

Out, Out vile temptation! LOL :P

They look good! Not so bothered about adding to the collection though. I am so over spent I am only going to get absolute must have's for a while now

Well, that's the last of this months allocated silver money gone.

Bought two of these for £19 each delivered, I'll see what they are like. That includes paying by PayPal regular as well so properly covered. Seller had about 85 of these to shift and is also doing 5 for 90 delivered.

Low mintage, so I might drop the other on eBay and see how it does.

Looks nice from the pics though!!

Well, these arrived.

I have to say they are very nice actually, and for £19 delivered they were a bargain.

He has loads, if anybody wants any give me a shout.

You got a right bargain there mate

I like to think so, I had never even heard of them before I saw them, and I like non-mainstream stuff.

They do come carded though, so I will need to carefully dismantle so they will fit in the case.

Lovely coin though, glad I grabbed two.

Is this a coin or a round?

Really? What's the mint, NZ mint? That's a pretty good delivered price. But for some reason I am not drawn to this one.

He'll also sell 25 for £400 delivered, 1oz for £16 each is pretty tempting for an 11.5k mintage!!!

Think it's one of the german minted jobbies, book price of €80 in BU.

Damn, I could have bought 25 of these opposed to the libertads I just bought. Oh well, I actually personally prefer the look of the libertads. Though as an investment these are probably a good choice. Even if demand isn't that great, at only 11.5k mintage, they are bound to have some sort of a premium in the future.

I don't know mate.

I mean, I hadn't even heard of them, so they can't be that popular.

I wouldn't be brave enough to buy more than a couple to be honest.

Yea true. Maybe why is selling them off at such low prices.

Either that or he doesn't know what he has got.

He'd easily sell singles for £20 BIN, I just don't know why they are so cheap.

Tested mine, defo all good.

Just going through a few old posts and saw this, these came in a series called the giants of New Zealand, i believe there were 5 coins in all, all proof and yeah you got a great bargain there, really nice coins.

Did he have any others or just the Giant Eagle?

Hi Garth,

He only had the giant eagle, no others. Don't think they are proof though, they don't look like proofs.

I bought 2 in the end and dropped them in airtites.

In which case Garthy, you may well be correct.

I didn't realise I actually have a proof coin in my collection.
