Backdating silver panda coins

Is anyone back dating silver panda coins?

I am thinking of trying to find and purchase the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. All of these have the similar bamboo background, the style of the coins previous to this are different and the premiums seem to jump up a lot.

I could purchase them all from http://www.gold-silber-muenzen-shop.de maybe not the cheapest, but can purchase them altogether. I am also unsure if this seller actually ships to the UK.

The cost before shipping is about €140

Has anyone purchased from this dealer before? Or can you recommended another dealer?

Also if anyone has any they they would like to sell to me, let me know, though obviously when it comes to pandas I am extremely wary about the fakes.

I was trying to save up for some gold, but have an itch to purchase a little bit of silver and I think these might be what I am after to satisfy my silver urges.

I backdated this month, and have 2009 onwards without the 2010. I'll buy that in the week.

I do fancy going a little further, but I'm happy to wait until the right deals present themselves.

I think I might have to make this purchase later this week. Can't afford to buy gold pandas right now so these silver pandas will make up for that.

Yeah MZ, I must admit I have been looking at the Noah halves and quarters, I quite fancy some.

I may do the same.

I was thinking of getting some Walking Libertys or Scottsdales but by the time you add the VAT, I may as well get a bullion coin from the EU.  I have all this shiny silver in capsules but I've never handled silver coins properly.

I have 10 to 14, and would like to go back further. 09 was an odd one when I was looking as I could only find Proofs or other rare (What is this big date small date business?) mintages not just the standard coin. I would like to go back to 2000 as an initial goal to work to. I would like to have a couple of each year at he very least.

2009 has a mintage of 600,000 for the 1oz, 2010 was 800,000 therefore not much of a difference.

 

Big date and small date refers to the size (or font) of the date and this comes down to where the coin was minted (there are three mints for Chineses pandas). The designation is determined by projecting lines from the edge of the steps above the date - small dates are generally within the projection lines however, some are more subtle than others. Example below:

What coins did you buy and how badly damaged were they?

Pandas come in mint capsules so assume they should be undamaged.

This is exactly what I did. I purchased all 1oz silver panda coins from 2009 - 2013 in one purcahse from APMEX. I didn't buy any 2008 and prior because the coin designs are different.

 

APMEX is reasonably priced. I can help you buy it and forward it from the US. No extra premium markup for my labor. I don't think any other major online dealers in the US has complete set from 2009-2014.

Dont worry the first shipment all was good   if u ordered the pandas in capsule all will be fine  no reason to worry
