had a quick shifty on the gold bullion co  site and came across a     1/2  oz Scottsdale silver coin

an incredible £21.51 inc vat    why is it so expensive    £43.02 for an ounce  surely they dont sell many

They just want to make a decent mark up on it.  It's a round so isn't so main stream.  They probably don't sell many but seeing how they don't have any price breaks, they don't expect to.  They've probably only got a handful in.

I see they have a 1oz scottsdale for £21.60, they probably only have a few 1/2oz's left so ramp the price up, the only thing that seems well priced there are their gold britannias and some sovereigns, apart from that look elsewhere.

Little tip, if you type 'money' in the promotional box at checkout they give you a 1/10 oz scottsdale coin.

First in the series, moderate mintage, it is a sought after coin.

Still expensive though.

That one is part of a wildlife series though, the first in series in fact which actually the RCM sold out of in a pretty short space of time. So it's probably the rarest example to get (but there's still 1million if them so).

Dammit Danny haha.

Still, I didn't realise the series was that popular, coupled with the fact it'll probably get a nice milky spot in no time at all I'm still surprised it costs what it does

For those who don't want to shop about, it's fairly priced in my opinion.

Expect to pay £35-£40 from the states inc delivery.  Legally that is subject to VAT and then Royal Mails £8 handling fee.  New landed price of £50-£56.

From the EU around £40+.  That's VAT free so technically it would cost around £48 with things all being equal.

Without wishing to sound cocky, I bought my full set from another forum for £120 landed.

There are deals out there, you just need to be quick.
