Can anyone identify this hallmark on a contemporary Silver French Box?

Recommended Posts

The box also has the "Minerve 1" but this appears right next to the unknown mark (see image below). There is also a diamond lozenge Maker's punch mark elsewhere on the box which under magnification reads (I think ?)  "Ste" an "P" with what appears to be an image of an arrow or a dagger in between the lettering "Ste" amd "P". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’ve moved part of your topic title to the content field of your topic because it’s more suitable there. I just cut and pasted from your original title so feel free to edit out the typing mistakes if you wish to make it tidier.

MInerve 1 is the hallmark used for .950 silver objects between 1938 and 1973.

Sté. P. with that anchor stamp is the mark of Société Parisienne de Bijouterie. Opened in 1900, closed in 1985. Their company description is on here:

Cheers!

Hi Stefan:

Just one more question.

Do you know why this particular manufacturer would put an additional hallmark - the anchor hallmark - on their silver in addition to the Minerve and the maker's lozenge?

Thank you for your time

Hi.

It is very common to see an extra stamp. Probably this anchor was their brand sign.
