idea of the best way to start

Hello and welcome, There is no fixed "best way" as its different for everyone. Do you want Coins/Bars, Gold/Silver, UK/Foreign, Bullion/Numismatic?

That's not me trying to throw lots of things at you, just asking a few questions, that may help to guide your journey into collecting and stacking. Please feel free to ask questions people here are happy to help.

Not much luck is required in stacking PMs. But you do need plenty of spare cash. 🤑

Steps to follow and keep you right.

1) get a membership ( you will see new deals right away) otherwise all the good stuff is long gone by day three.

2) buy on here from established members, better prices normally and your effectively buying their experience.

3) before buying ,make sure to read the sellers feedback ( ask questions)

4) make any enquires by private message

5) take your time and enjoy your journey

6 sovereigns..1/4oz gold is most liquid... in silver go for a mixture of coins and bars to keep your cost average down.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Welcome to the forum, the best place to build your stack and to gain knowledge about precious metals!

I would advise you to upgrade your membership to premium. For few £ per month you will have instantly access to see what other members are selling.

Usually the bargains are coming daily, but are going in minutes.😊

Happy stacking!🤗

Welcome to the forum. I hope that you find this place as useful, insightful and entertaining as a lot of us do.

There are plenty of very knowledgable folk on here. Don't be afraid to ask any questions. If you're wanting a place to start out @HerefordBullyun has a thread with some reading and videos.  (Taken from Bully's signature on his posts)
If you are a new member and want to know why we stack PMs look at this link https://www.thesilverforum.com/topic/56131-videos-of-significance/#comment-381454

We had the warning in 2006-9 but central banks ignored it and just added new worthless debt to existing worthless debt to create worthless debt squared – an obvious recipe for disaster. - Egon von Greyerz
