This is about the best I can achieve with my equipment. The Chards magic axial setup is light years ahead. I’ll have to try and comprehend your photo guide a bit more.

Well said!

I'll let our two photographers know their jobs are safe...

For a few more weeks at least!

😎

And what if I said I preferred @GoldDiggerDave’s photography? 🙈

With apologies to your two photographers; stellar effort on their part. 😜

Photography of proof coins is quite a topic in itself, both from a practical as well as an aesthetic viewpoint.

Sometimes I find that the black background you usually get from a vertical camera position to be glorious but sometimes it doesn't look right and an angular shot that captures the shiny proof field is better. The angular shot is by far the most difficult to achieve as you often get undesirable reflections and varying lighting across the coin. Maybe I need to get one of these new-fangled axial setups.

It take real skill to get a good quality photo with a mobile phone!

Don't worry, our two "flashers" have a sense of humour.

I will tag @SemolinaPilchard in to this, and he can let you know, when he takes a tea break.

That sounds ominous.

Not really.

She never seemed to show any great interest, as if she was on auto-pilot. Doug is very creative, and excellent at demonstrating and explaining, so it was disappointing.

How to make us all jealous!  I have only just sent a cheque to my supplier, so it is going to be another 2 or 3 weeks before my sovereign arrives.

Remind me what a cheque is?😁
