I'm new to the forum and really excited to be a part of the group.  I'm wondering if someone could offer some advice to me with regard to a silver pouring issue that I am having.  All is going good but I'm having problems with air pockets in the bottom of my graphite molds...see pics.  Thought it might be the temp of the mold.  I've tried super heating the mold...no help...I'm melting with an oxy/acetylene torch...maybe too much O2 introduced during melting?

Just curious if anyone else is having the same issue...

Unfortunately I'm not sure with oxy set up. I use mapp gas or furnace and don't have issues with air pockets so not sure I can be much help I'm afraid.

All I would say is that moulds don't need super heating. They need to have an even heat all over but not red hot as that will cause bubbles in its self. Also keeping a torch on the silver as You pour and as it cools will help with air pockets

Good luck
