1981 Half Sovereign Size Gold "Coin"

Just for fun or a challenge, does anyone want to have a guess what this is, or venture any other opinions?

Of course, I could have created a new account in the name of A. Newby, and asked what it was worth!

There is one like this for the wedding, however, it has ‘royal wedding’ on it

Just acquired a half sovereign wedding jobby. Is it just tatt or does it have any significance for collectors?

@AdminSupport Are you able to tidy up this old thread from Jan 2023 please? It seems to have been accidentally hijacked today by a member going off topic on a separate agenda about his own coin.

I initially thought Lawrence Chard was back again until I realised the dates of the earlier comments.
