I've just heard on the radio that the Edward Jenner £2 with the King Charles III portrait will be available as a "Strike Your Own" at the Royal Mint Experience from today:

https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/royal-mint-experience-visitors-now-000100370.html

The above report says that the coin cannot be ordered on the Royal Mint website until 26th January!  It is strange that this coin was not included in the Commemorative coin set released earlier this week.

"Strike Your Own" can be fraught with problems.

Many people who tried it got caught and ended up in jail.

People are already trying to sell the new SYO for £25-£35, good lordy!

These prices are not unusual for a SYO.  What is unusual is that people are striking coins that have not yet been officially released!

The Edward Jenner £2 was released this morning - but no one seems interested!  I think this shows that in future we are going to have to be very careful which coins we buy.

10 days ?  🤣

mmm! That’s changed very recently. Obviously when you go on the mint website it looks like they appear to be still pushing this coin, maybe reacting to a bit of new interest🤔🧐🧐
