Coin suggestions for 2 grams of AGW to reach an ounce.

Apparently I have 0.9366 of an ounce, or 29.12 grams. Are there any coins y'all would recommend which have an AGW around 2 grams? Quarter sov would leave me short, 3g pandas or 1/10 Oz are a gram over, i know very little about European or South American coins, so maybe there is one which will be to the specifications.

Google is surprisingly unhelpful when searching for "2 gram gold coins" - I just get suggested bars and some weird 24k rounds on an Indian website.

Cheers

Here's a brilliant idea.

So it starts with scrapping the coin part and getting 2 x 1g bars.

1) best price per gram

2) lands you on perfect number ( unless you suck at math and actually need more 😆)

3) adds variety

4) makes me feel better knowing you have hit a milestone

5) if you are totally against bar's, then ignore options 1 through 4 , and get some help dude 😆

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Value for your £ wise I'd suggest a half sov?

@stefffana might have something that fit your requirements?

Tis too much gold (who complains about having too much gold?!) I wanted to get as close to an ounce as possible, if there isn't anything then I'd probably get a 1/10th ounce or a half sovereign, just wondered if there was an obscure coin which weighed 2.5g at .900 or something, which would have been nice, just over

Buys 2 x 1g bars

Overall AGW: 0.9998 ounces

Noooooooooo

I can clip a 1/10 coin for a laugh 😃 your paying for the full one tenth though as I'm not a moron.

Please say yes. I've always wanted to cut a coin in half at someone else's expense  😫

I don't see any reason why you should try to achieve 1 oz precisely, but if you really need to, your best chance is either

- 1994 1/15oz maple

- some of the Niue 2g .999 5 dollars or Solomon Islands 10 dollars

- George I or George III 1/4 guinea 2.1g .9167

However, none of those particularly easily available I'm afraid...

The closest variant is 2 x 1/25oz, equating 0.08oz gold.

Adding to your 0.9366oz, will be 1.0166oz.

Did I won yet?😊

Yes very good suggestion thank you!

Because I'm really odd, this unprecise world is a cruel place to navigate through. I will look into those coins, thanks.

Could you remove some of the obscure weights from the collection and get 2 quarters and 5 tenth Oz for eg?

Leave the kid alone!

Why to remove obscure coins? Gold is gold and the beauty of this world is in diversity and variety.

Fooking Hell!

With people like you will be only three types of coins to collect: Britannia, Sovereign and Queen's Beasts!

I love this coin. I parted with mine in a trade. I forgot how much of a pain in the arse they are to find.

You got one? 😎
