2023 One Kilo Silver Bullion Britannias Arrived Today - Photos to Follow

We just received our first, and possibly our only delivery of these today, and I have not yet seen them in the flesh.

According to the Royal Mint "has a limited production run". I don't yet know what the issue limit is, but expect it will be very low for a silver bullion coin, as the "A Britannia coin featuring King Charles III’s first effigy will be released in the new year".

Are they CGT free asking for a bert fwend....

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.

Appreciated, save me ‘searching’😁 If I could afford one it would be a choice … two Britannias, two different places, same price! One free delivery, one not? (Sorry about this old chestnut again) 🫢🤔🫢 I suppose it comes down to best service at end of the day.

The only other price I could see at the time was the Royal Mint's who surprised me by being at a lower price, at least until they added the VAT.

I can now see one other dealer, who seems to make a habit of looking at our prices, then pitching theirs about twopence less, unless we are not stocking that item, in which case, they try it on at about 50% over the top, as someone noticed recently!

Not sure why (A) gets such a cold shoulder. Family feud's are unhealthy.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Numismatics is a relatively small "industry" or business, and there is quite a good community spirit between many dealers and collectors.

IMO, this used to be more noticeable many years ago. While there were always some dealers who were more self-centred, the proportion of "nice guys" seems to have decline, possibly because it is now big business, and there are lots of "marketing" people involved, and more "corporates".

There used to be a fellow dealer in Blackpool, called Peter Ireland. While we were competitors, we were always happy to help each other with things like second opinions on authenticity or potential fakes and fraudsters.

Any competitor who abuses our Intellectual Property Rights by "borrowing" our high quality and often distinctive and recognisable photos gets added to my "bad guys" list, and tends to stay there unless or until they convince me they should get removed from it!

Has anyone on here purchased one yet? I'm tempted!

@LawrenceChardI'm looking forward to seeing the one in a capsule! 😎

I had a good look at one today, and was delighted to note it looked very nice. It looks like the RM have treated these as the premium bullion coin they are, with no noticeable scuffs or other imperfections. I did not take it out of the capsule, although we did remove it to take the photographs, and our photographers  did not note any defects or problems.

Two slightly hazy patches on the queens head turned out to be on the capsule, probably my palm prints, and they wiped off very easily.
