Bit of advice needed. Was having a tidy up today, and came across the coin in the title, completely forgot I owned it,and can't remember what I paid for it. Is complete with box etc,and those as well as the coin, look as if they were just bought yesterday. (To my old eyes anyway) Have looked about online, but none appear available this side of the pond. Last sale on e-bay was August for roughly £80,was from an American seller so I presume vat etc would had to have been paid on top. I'm in no rush to sell, but just wondered if there were  any collectors out there, who knew the true value.

Thanks in Advance  J.

Excuse my ignorance but what's ASE?  I looked in Numista but couldn't find anything to match it. If however you enter the search parameter in as A S E with a space between each letter, you get a whole raft of different coins coming up.   Very confusing.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

Undoubtedly a fake.  Or the seller might just be an idiot too of course..🤣

I did consider the possibility - Hanlon's Razor states not to assume malice for something that can be explained by stupidity.  However, it's Ebay so scamming is a distinct possibility and it definitely meets the too-good-to-be-true rule.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.
