Una and the lion bar blemish

I bought my first piece of silver from ebay, an una and the lion 1oz bar.

It is a beautiful piece of silver, however on the reverse there is a brown/copper coloured blemish in the top right corner.

Is this the silver tarnishing? If so what can I do about it?

Thanks

Yes its tarnish ( all silver will eventually tarnish unfortunately) Could try cleaning with Goddards silver polish and a very soft micro fiber cloth.

Do do the baking soda dip on a minted/polished bar,it will leave it dull looking.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

As you bought it via ebay, you should be grateful, or hopeful, that it is silver.

Is this the silver tarnishing?

Yes. Silver tarnishes, or being positive, silver tones.

If so what can I do about it?

Buy a gold one next time.

Although now you know silver tones / tarnishes, do you still want to do anything about it?

You could send it to @BackyardBullion and ask him to melt it into a nice hand poured bar for you.

I see @James32 has already started on some alternative answers.

Lol.

Reminds me of the time a friend received a very undercooked steak 😋

Waitress asked "was everything OK today "?

He replied with a straight face, "Jeezus Christ missus, a good vet could of got that walking again "

I like to buy the pre-dip dip
