After last time I'm dubious to use the tab refresh - if I remember rightly, does the page auto update or did it require a manual refresh?

It auto updates .... No point to keep refreshing for half an hour before it opens bud

🤔 sounds like they will just keep minting until all backorders are filled... then stop? But who can fathom the minds of the folks at RM? 🤷‍♂️

If it's anything like the 1970 proof sets, they kept minting them years afterwards - until 1974 I believe.

Edit: Royal Mint report actual reports a few sets in 1975-76 time frame as well.

WTF?

Whats the point of a queue?

Expect this for the 2023 Sovereign also :)

I think RM believe they can make more money overall by having unlimited mintages on proof coins. I suspect this will net them more profit overall for a time, perhaps a few years, until collectors/flippers realize that the resale value of these unlimited coins plummet over time.

They will probably start minting them after 31st Dec once they know how many people have ordered.

As of now, the coins are not yet produced, hence the reason you can't go to the Experience shop directly and collect.

I guess bad for both......I like to collect knowing that it is/will be a limited edition.

Well, it will be limited - but we won't know the final mintage for a while

Personally I will still be going for the silver 50p and 1 oz silver version just for the prosperity of having the first charles coins.

Flippers gonna be flipping mad about this!
