Tudor Beasts - Will the change of monarch add anything?

As per the title - specifically the bullion coins. Will the change of monarch (presumably) be enough to make them more noteworthy than the original beasts which often struggle to sell as a complete set?

I also think that in the current hysteria there will likely be a colossal amount of them minted, every man and his dog will have a set.

I can't make my mind up - what do you think?

Surely It will increase the value of the set even if the quality is shiite.
Has that happened before for collectable coin sets - how long has it been a 'thing'?

But will there be so many sets out there that they will be their weight in bullion, no more, no less?

I think I'll likely get them anyway, but just for the novelty.

I am collecting the TB's in 2 & 10oz silver and 1/4oz gold, given they are a few quid more than their equivalent Britannia's I do not see the down side

If they do well, great, if not they give a bit more variety and interest to the stack.  Best case scenario would be they are not popular until the last few coins making the early ones, especially the Lion and Yale with the Queens head on them, more popular and worth an extra premium.  If not, they are still worth their weight in gold/silver and likely a small premium of Britannia's just because they are CGT coins that are not Britannia's.  Even the series' s which did not do well command a bit more than Brits so will be hard to lose really

They could be worth a few more notes, but probably not!

It remains to be seen whether Queen Elizabeth II coins are more popular than King Charles III coins, or vice versa.

Do collectors or stackers care about the gender of a monarch?

You mentioned "every man and his dog", but if I were to ask about every woman and her b***h (female canine), it would be censored. Is this misogynistic?

Collect them if you like them. If there's an additional little tickle in the future then it'll be a small bonus. I don't expect any of us are getting rich from buying a few coins 👍🏼 I really like the lions

I don't think that they will be worth much more than other bullion coins.  Possibly with the exception of the Lion (because it's the first in the series, and it's a Lion) and the Yale (because it's dated 2023 and has Elizabeth II as the monarch), and the Dragon coins if they are nice designs.

I have a bullion Lion in 1 oz gold and 1 oz platinum, but I'm not going to collect any more of this series unless I like the Dragons.

This is pretty much how I feel. The Yale because of the date, maybe, nut there will be so many of them minted it'll be crazy.

On a side note I'm doing the Perth S3 Lunars, which may end up being even better- first 4 will be QEII, then presumably some Chatles, then the Republic of Australia and a new head of state, so 3 or maybe more obverse portraits in the 12 year run...

And also, they won't milk up or arrive beaten to a pulp either!!!
