closed Egyptian Kingdom Gold Coins – Fuad & Farouk – Scarce Issues! – UK 🇬🇧

🇪🇬🌕 For sale here are four attractive gold coins from the Egyptian Kingdom! 🌕🇪🇬

Upon gaining independence from the United Kingdom in 1922, the legal state of the Egyptian Kingdom was established. This form of Egypt existed up until 1953 and was only brought to an end following the Egyptian Revolution in 1952 which saw the abolition of the Egyptian monarchy.

All four gold coins here are scarce and desirable issues and are present in phenomenal, collectible grades.

Please note that the Numista reference pages for the 100 Qirsh 1922 and the 50 Qirsh 1929 are incomplete and incorrect in places. These inconsistencies pertain to errors in the conversation of the Islamic Hijri to Gregorian dates. All of the coins in this sales post have been advertised correctly and I am more than happy to send would-be buyers a link to a simple Islamic Hijri to Gregorian date convertor as well as pictures of reputable written text references.

The four coins available are as follows.

🇪🇬 Egypt 100 Qirsh 1340 (1922) – Fuad (Right) – Yellow Gold Variety – £695

🇪🇬 Egypt 100 Qirsh 1349 (1930) – Fuad (Left) – £970 SOLD! 🔨

🇪🇬 Egypt 50 Qirsh 1348 (1929) – Fuad (Left) – £625 SOLD! 🔨

🇪🇬 Egypt 50 Qirsh 1357 (1938) – Farouk – Royal Wedding – £540

Postage on top.

Ships fully-insured worldwide for reasonable rate! 📦✈️ 🌍

💷 Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account, Wise, cryptocurrency, and PayPal friends and family are all accepted.

Some nice pieces here Duncan. I know there was some middle east gold collectors on here a while back but cannot remember them by name to tag them. There’s some lovely conditioned fields in some of these coins too!

That yellow gold is ohh so yellow for sure, defo a different colour to the other 100 Qirsh

Is that from a higher purity of gold or a higher percentage of silver compared with copper ?

Hi Alex.

Thank you for your comment.

You've got that right! The 100 Piastres 1922 is by far a more golden yellow than the 100 Piastres 1930. Typically I would reply in my wordy-way, but sometimes diagrams amply explain concepts like this. I have therefore attached a silver/gold/copper alloy ternary plot to demonstrate the colour change of a given alloy of silver/gold/copper based on the ratios in which they are alloyed.

I hope you find this helpful. I know I do.

Kind regards,

Duncan.

Absolutely stunning! Especially the reverse imo.

Thank you!

The reverses on all of these types are highly appealing.
