Talking about internet searches, years ago when the internet first started I worked for a DIY chain, an old boy came in and wanted a new heating element for a redring electric shower.  I was speaking to him and suggested he used the internet to find the part number.......Well the old boy came back in the day later with a very strange look about him, I said did you find the part number.......He said he did a 3 word search for Red, Ring and Shower and he said you won't believe the filth there is on that internet!.......Still makes me chuckle when I think about  that 🤣🤣

Dave did he let you go round to check them? Did you get to verify his stack?

I've replied to every pm received, had a few proposals from members, agreed to selling 1 in person to get the ball rolling , agreed to have the stash tested, agreed to people wanting to be an intermediary. Given my phone number out via PM's and spoke to a few members.  Agreed to a group teaming up and crowd funding a purchase. Etc etc. Here's the thing though..... Nowts actually happened yet. In the meantime I've done a deal with 4x recognised traders at a set price over spot. Which is better than 600 a bar. 10-14% over spot on the 1kg bars for example depending where I take it. I'm happy with that although it's taken me a while to get to this juncture

Ive had this sxxt 11 years(that's an accurate timescale as all the new coins are dated 2011). Im roughly about break even on the silver maybe 5/10% down.

A couple of members are saying that is poor investment and less than inflation. Please advise if I'm wrong, but if you mean the fiat value lost 5-10% over eleven years, that is a FAR less reduction in wealth than fiat would over the same period. So how I see it is that is still a good investment compared with not buying the silver.

But isn't it the same thing, as soon as its cashed out, and everything 5 years later costs x amount more?

So investment is down 10% and new world items cost 30% more.

By the way I'm long on silver so my comments are not meant in a negative way.

The sweet spot IMO for holding silver is 15+ years. Any less than that and history has shown you can actually lose money. I plan to hold mine forever and pass on to my children, however situations can change and it’s nice to know I have a large chunk of wealth available if needed.
