Are gold Queen's Beasts bullion Completer coins a good investment at current prices?

The supply does finally seem to be drying up, unless the Mint pulls a fast one and mints more when it shouldn't, 2021 being well past. Some dealers are out of stock, but those that aren't are asking well north of £1600, as well as the usual even higher, silly prices on ebay. At that sort of price level, when Britannias are around £1550, would a purchase now be sensible? I tend to think not, but there will be more experienced people here with perhaps a different view.

They will keep turning up for years on the secondary market, and it is extremely unlikely that premiums on them will rocket, so don't worry about it. If you want one, buy one. If its expensive, just buy something else and wait.

Be aware what premium you are paying.

It would make comparison easier if we knew what % premium that was, which is the best way to compare, but some dealers don't want to make it easier for their customers to compare.

Thank you very much, but, alas, as soon as you experimentally put it in the basket you are told that it is out of stock!

Thank you very much, Lawrence. Sound advice as usual. I will sleep better for it!

If they only have 1 piece, and @Orpster had already put it in his basket, then it might well show OOS!

😎

Shouldn't I removed it immediately.  I just went on and added 6 to my basket to see what stock levels they had - and they reduced the qty to 1 on checkout so only the one in stock (have removed it again in case anyone actually wants it :) )image.png.c19add23eec4fcd22b0b9f07f43a7a57.png

Buy it now !!!!!

I hesitated buying the Yale of Beaufort when it would have cost me £1,000 hoping for a dip which never came.
Then supplies dried up and dealers and flippers were asking closer to £2,000.
I stuck it out and whilst people were still asking over £1800 the Royal Mint released some more and in December 2021 I got mine at a fair price.
Same happened with the Platinum Yale and the best price I found was from the Royal Mint in May this year.
The RM had no inventory for a couple of years but I guess some investors buy these for storage so occasionally a few pop up at reasonable prices.
Problem is you cannot depend on this ever happening and the lesson I learned is not to delay if you are collecting a series.
