2018 Canada Maple Leaf $150 Platinum Reverse Proof - 30th Anniversary of the platinum maple leaf. Top pop PF70

The Royal Canadian Mint's platinum reverse proof maple leaf is a real eye catcher. The coin shown in the images was part of 30th anniversary set, but unlike the typical maple leaf design, the 30th anniversary has not one but three iconic maple leaves, to symbolize three decades of history of the platinum maple leaf design. The coin’s reverse was designed by Jesse Koreck; whereas the obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin, as it appeared on the first platinum maple leaf coins issued in 1988.

This design was offered in a very low-mintage set (400) by the Royal Canadian Mint. FYI the asking price at issue was a shade under CAD$ 5,000 for the four coin set, ungraded. This half ounce platinum reverse proof is one of only two graded by NGC at 70 grade, their highest grade.

This half ounce platinum proof is offered at a very attractive £760. Very reasonable when compared to Royal Mint platinum quarter oz.
