Hey all, I was wondering if any of you would know of any dealers in London or surrounding counties that would buy off people at spot price ? Got some gold I want to sell.

Yeah me 🤣🤣

Tried and failed. I’m not a trusted member as of yet. I need to earn some stripes lol.

Not necessarily. You just need to sell a few pieces to trusted members on here and send the coins before being paid. The resulting feedback should sort sort out your stripes. Doing this puts you in a better position than a buyer sending the money blind; you will know their address. Simples.

You were not selling close to spot bud, I appreciate your pamp items cost more but find a balance in-between and they should sell.

Check tavex on the pamp prices and undercut slightly then the rest should take care of itself.

As you can see we don't want you getting cleaned out.

@Ukbullionfan I wouldn’t be too disheartened, you could try what @sovereignsteve said and sell to more established members here. Send what you’re selling and then take payment on the day it’s recieved and build up your feedback.

I actually did this with a member of the forum earlier this year, they posted to me and I paid the same day and left feedback. It can be done and does work.

Worth checking on here for past prices to get a better idea. BBP tend to ask for high prices in comparison. A quick example is on the forum a 2017 sovereign sold recently for £370 but BBP are selling them for closer to £430 a 16% higher price.

Why not make a listing for the items you have it is free to list?  @Ukbullionfan

People will buy if items are priced right. Typically between what the 'big' dealers are buying and selling for.

If I know I can get a 1g gold bar from a trusted dealer for £10 over spot or a sov for 3% over I wouldn't risk buying bullion from an unknown buyer for more than that.

If you get no interest lower the price a little every few days. I'm sure I even saw a reverse auction where the seller droped the price each hour on here. A member in your area might be able to deal in person. You could state a price you want or nearest offer and invite people to message you.

Just a few ideas I'm almost sure you'd get more money in your pocket selling here than to a dealer, even if you want a quick sale 👌🏽

Why deal with anyone from London, when @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer are not all that far away!

I once did Blackpool to central London in just over 2 hours!

its amazing how getting a single 1/10th oz gold Brit at spot can motivate you eh Lawrence... 😂

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Wow!! How did you manage that? If it is by car then I am bloody impressed.

I hope it was not a drive up to Manchester and flight to London. I once did that and it took me around 2 hours flying by the posher version of BMI (which I think is now defunct).

It was indeed by car.

About 1980 in a Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9

It was metallic gold colour (what else), but just looked like any other boring three box saloon, so it hardly ever got a second glance from police traffic officers.

One frosty Sunday morning, starting about 7.00 a.m. via M6. I did have to slow down every time we passed the Services, as there were typically 2 police Range Rovers sitting on the exit ramps watching.

Average speed was just over 100 m.p.h.

Now, I reckon 50 m.p.h. average would be optimistic!

🙂

Imagine what you could have done in a red one!

Thanks for the replies guys and yes I have pano I want to sell. 1g 2.5g and 10g what’s the odds I can get over £700 for them all together ? Lol I’m looking at £710.20 to be precise. Over £100 less on bbp. 🌝

I would be willing to pay 2% over spot for this at £670 with post included which I feel is a fair offer and better than you'll get from any dealer. It would be just as others have described - you would send first, I would pay you on delivery of the goods and provide you with glowing feedback so as to help you with your next sale. You will see from my feedback record that I have built up a reputation on the forum as a trustworthy and honest chap to deal with. Let me know if this would be of interest :)

A quick car was the 450 6.9 😎
