It’s a storage tray for medication for when you turn old and grey and you’re still waiting for the Monarchs to be delivered from RM.

Maybe they can be rebranded - " The RM Collectors Starter Kit"

Why are the first two 1 oz gold proofs - Henry VII and James I still available at Royal Mint? Thought they would have been snapped up. Lovely series. Need deep pockets.

I think you answered your own question there. £5000 for those two coins.. strictly for deep pocket collectors not worried about re sale value.

All other James I coins are still available to order!  I would suggest that sales are not going that well - but they should be able to sell 150 of the 10oz coins.

The key coins are the 1 oz silver and 2 oz silver. All other sizes are just too expensive or impractical to collect all 21 versions!

Still think the RM missed a trick, instead of the faux hammered coin they could have just made a modern hammered coin with irregular blanks, would have also got round any quality issues.

Believe it or not even hammered coins can have quality issues.

Henry I - he knew how to deal with that.
