⚔️🪙 For sale here is an absolutely gorgeous Teutonic Order 1/2 Thaler 1616! 🪙⚔️

Minted in the year of 1616, this 406 year old beauty was minted as a standard circulation coin for the Teutonic Order of the German States.

The Teutonic Order is otherwise known as the 'Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem' and is a Catholic religious order which was initially founded as a military order around 1190.

The obverse of this piece depicts a forward-facing armoured and crowned Maximilian I with legend around. The reverse boasts a right-facing mounted and armoured Maximilian I with shields of arms around.

The condition of this coin is highly pleasing for the type and age, present in a respectable extremely fine grade and most certainly worthy for a serious collection or, indeed, a one-off specific purchase.

This gorgeous Teutonic Order 1/2 Thaler 1616 has a Numista rarity index of 100 and has not, as of yet, been registered in any collector's Numista database.

The coin and the history which it represents are inextricably linked and, consequently, is included in the sale. 🪙📖

Sale price is £595 plus postage at buyer’s cost, choice and risk.

Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account, cryptocurrency, credit card, PayPal credit, and PayPal friends and family are all accepted.

Nice looking coin.

Please give the provenance on this coin.

It’s a cracking coin!

The provenance is that this coin comes from one of my contacts. No illustrious DNW ticket backlog with this piece, just several hundred years of hard history and a cast-iron guarantee as to its authenticity.

Thank you.
