Minted in the year of 1822, this 200 year old 1/4 Dollar was produced to be used in the British West Indies and bares the Latin script 'COLONIAR: BRITAN: MONET:,' translating as 'colonial money of Britain.'

This so-called 'anchor money' is eponymous with Britain's colonial presence around the world and represents an appealing alternative within the realm of world silver coin collecting!

This is a very good example of the type and would make a superb addition to the collection!
