closed Victorian Crowns – Another Mega Load! – Stackable History! – $38 Each + Postage – UK-Based πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Recommended Posts

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‘‘πŸͺ™Β For sale here is yet another mega load of lovely Victorian era .925 silver crowns!Β πŸͺ™πŸ‘‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Each of these substantial silver coins is comprised of 28.28 g of .925 silver and boasts a diameter of 38.61 mm.Β

Equivalent to five shillings, these British crowns were a serious chunk of change back in the day! One crown was approximately equal to a day's wages for a skilled tradesman in Victorian Britain. Upon earning a crown a skilled tradesman could then buy five loaves of bread, 5 lbs of sugar, 18 lbs of vegetables, three pints of beer,Β and a sack of coal – quite an assortment of luxuries for a man of the Victorian era!

Now, what do we have in 2021? Plastic polymer bank notes which are physically baseless.

I will take a chunk of Victorian silver any day of the week! Now is your chance to take yours!

The majority of these crowns are of the Jubilee Head Effigy (2nd Portrait), but there are a couple of Veiled Head Effigy (3rd Portrait) crowns here also. The Numista reference pages to these coin types are:

Jubilee Head Effigy (2nd Portrait):Β https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces11102.html

Veiled Head Effigy (3rd Portrait):Β https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces12800.html

Sale price is $38Β each plus postage at buyer's cost, choice and risk.

Payment via PayPal friends and family or international bank transfer to UK bank account.

Thank you! 🌟
