A few things purchased recently have lead me to decide to move this little beauty on. It is a Perth Mint commemorative piece celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's 90th Birthday in 2016. It is a quarter troy ounce of proof .9999 gold presented in it's original box, case, capsule and COA. It has not been opened/handled by me personally, I bought it around a year ago and put it in storage straight away. The capsule has some marks on it but the coin seems to be in great condition. It does look like there are a few specs of dust/lint on the surface of the coin when peering closely at it. They could be on the inside of the capsule but I will not assume this when pricing and describing it. It is quite a beauty with wonderfully shiny fields and awesome frosting, especially on the queen's effigy. To my eyes the size of the effigy is much more appropriate than the Royal Mint's modern offerings and is an elegant piece in general.

It has an extremely low mintage of 1000, this being issue number 0258. This could be a great addition for those collecting QEII commemorative pieces or just as a pretty bit of stacking weight. 

My phone isn't great at this sort of photography and the lighting in my house is subdued so not the greatest photographs. 

Price is £375 plus choice of postage at cost. Special Delivery is the only option that is insured for PM. ***Update: as per the post below I will include SD in the price for all TSF members (silver and above).

I've had a good look around at the prices that 1/4 oz gold coins are currently trading for and I think that this compares quite favourably. This is a super low mintage .9999 proof coin from one of the best mints in the world for bullion gold money. £375 including special delivery makes the effective cost of the coin £368.15.

Alrighty, as a kind of 'firesale' for Friday night into Saturday I'll offer this for £362 including special delivery. This puts this beautiful proof coin more or less on par with 'dealer's choice' spearmint 1/4 oz Aussie bullion nuggets from a certain well known and well loved dealer. This coin is a cut above the bullion in my opinion, but I understand that it is a niche market item and I would like to release the funds to cover other things. If no one picks it up by tomorrow I will probably withdraw it and take the hit on recent purchases. And then buy again because well, you know, gold and stuff...

I will still include the soft toffee.

Hi bud, I appreciate the offer but I'm at the lowest I'm happy going with this one. On the value of the gold it's at around a 10% premium for a Perth Mint proof coin which is on par with the premiums asked for random choice Perth Mint bullion elsewhere. You don't know if you don't ask though 😁

If it doesn't sell tonight I'll most likely withdraw it tomorrow and have a think.

I'd have put in a home made cup cake but I'm not convinced it would survive the trip in a padded envelope...
