All,

I have for auction a spectacular 1997 strictly limited edition Australian 1 Oz Silver Kookaburra coin with a 'Dragon' gold privy inlay. Rare and only 20000 issued.

Auction - starts at a price of 99p with no further reserve. The highest bidder wins and the auction will run until Sunday (8th Aug).  I would like to end the auction at 10 pm on Sunday (08.08.2021). However, I would give the grace of 15 minutes from the last bid to discourage sniping.

Special conditions: £1 minimum increments and if the opening bidder (or the first bidder) were to win the coin then recorded postage within the UK is free.

Payment is paypal FNF and postage is at the winner's choice at will be at cost (to be paid for separately on top of the winning bid). I can post this overseas as well.

Good luck and happy bidding.

PS: I wanted to get photos after removing the coin from its capsule but it is such a brilliant state that I did not want to accidentally ruin it. There are some tiny spots as shown in the pictures, which are on the capsule and not on the coin. Please bear with me if the photos are not great - the coin though is brilliant.

Do you know if the gold privy is gold or gold plated?

Hi,

As far as I am aware it is a fine gold privy mark. I saw that mentioned in the certificate, which I can't seem to locate. I am not able to weigh the mark separately as it is embedded into the coin and in any case, I don't want to remove it from the capsule. I have done a bit of research on the net and I found this item on eBay which is identical.

If I find the certificate I'll post it here.

Regards,

S
